A Faithful Scottish Reformation Tour to Be Savored
We received a year’s worth of enjoyment, knowledge, and spiritual value in our ten-day tour. The time was rich to say the least. We got to engage the personal realities of Scotland’s first and second reformations from the vantage point of reformers and royals, Covenanters and Catholics, Cameronians and Dragoons. But we also got to enjoy the present realities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Scottish Highlands–the beauty of Scotland’s countryside and coastlands. Notably, while we saw “must-see” tour sites, Scottish Reformation Tours took us “off the beaten path” to introduce sites of stories vital to the history and heritage of the Reformation, but lost on run-of-the-mill tours. Most important, Jimmy and Helen Fisher proved to be superior hosts and guides, deftly adapting our tour on the fly to accommodate the special interests and needs of our group, which included eighteen members from twenty-somethings to eighty-somethings age wise. Can reformation history with spiritual depth be fun? If you tour Scotland with Jimmy and Helen Fisher leading a Scottish Reformation Tour it certainly can!!
