Lovely Day in St Andrews

What a beautiful sunny day it was today to be visiting St Andrews. We started off at the historic Martyrs Monument that overlooks the famous golf course. It’s one of the town’s most iconic landmarks and commemorates four protestant martyrs who were burnt at the stake in St Andrews. After this we went on an extensive walking tour of various Reformation sites located throughout the town. We finished the day with a visit to see the historic golf course and then helped one of our party recreate the famous opening scene of “Chariots of Fire” with a run along the beach, (where the scene was filmed). Why not join us on a reformation tour of beautiful St Andrews and learn more about Scotland’s Reformation. (You can recreate Chariots of Fire too if you want.)
